Rev. Michael L. Eley, Sr.
Pastor Michael L. Eley, Sr. serves as the 12th Senior Pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church of Rolesville, N.C. He is the son of the late George Eley Sr. and Fanny B. Eley, and a native of Southampton County, Virginia where he was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Windsor VA. There he served in the capacity of Trustee. He is a graduate of Southampton High School in Courtland, VA. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology Education from Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA. While attending Virginia State University, he joined Mount Olivet Baptist Church where he served on the audio-visual ministry for 7 years, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Wesley K. McLaughlin.
Pastor Eley has completed courses at Apex School of Theology and Raleigh Institute of Biblical Studies. Pastor Eley preached his initial sermon on April 13, 2008 and was ordained in the Gospel Ministry on January 15th, 2015 at Mount Peace Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. He has served as the President of the Men’s Fellowship, Co-President of the Evangelism ministry and past Director of Angel Food Ministries of Wake County. In 2018, he united with Raleigh North Christian Center where he was an active member in the men’s fellowship. Pastor Eley has led various workshops for Men’s Ministries and Marriage Ministries in North Carolina and Virginia and is the Founder of The Inward Man Project. He is devoted to excellence in ministry and the teaching of the gospel. His favorite scripture is found in Proverbs 3:5-6; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” (NIV) |
